About the Wine
Mt Etna is such an incredible location for wine production. Sicilians call it “an island within an island”, as it is so unique relative to the rest of Sicily. Great elevation, coastal breezes in the evening, and mineral rich volcanic terroir make it ideal for winemaking.
The beauty of Etna can be tasted in this wine. Floral notes and refreshing minerality are what first come to mind. Norma helps us understand why Etna is being considered by many to be the next Burgundy. What makes these wines so interesting is their versatility. This wine won’t overpower a piece of grilled swordfish and for that matter fried fish. Great pairing for red meat or wild game, aged cheeses and of course, pasta alla norma!
