Turkey Burgers
Serves 4
What to Pair With
If you like burgers but are looking for a healthier option, try these burgers made with ground turkey. Even if turkey isn’t your thing, I promise they are juicy and flavorful and with your toppings, they taste almost like the real thing! Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey (preferably 85-90% lean)
1 cup cooked spinach (4 cups fresh), you can also thaw 1 cup frozen spinach
3 tbsp ketchup
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
If using fresh spinach, cook first, cool and squeeze out liquid.
In a large bowl mix all of the ingredients.
Form into patties and cook over medium heat for 5 min.
Flip and cook another 5 min.
If they are extra thick, place in oven for 5 min.
Serve with your favorite burger toppings.
Special sauce:
Mix 2 tbsp ketchup, 2 tsp mayonaise, 1 tsp dijon mustard, a splash of pickle juice or lemon juice, and a pinch of both salt and pepper.
